A smaller number of available homes in our area continues to create pricing conditions that favor home sellers. Active listings are down, but more significant are new listings hitting the market – down 12% year to date in Northern Virginia. With this shortage in available properties, the number of closings has declined when compared to a year ago – down 11%.
