I’m back with my Northern Virginia market stat recap. The market has slowed in a few sub markets significantly, and there is a big difference in activity between detached vs. townhouse vs. condo properties. Condo activity has slowed down significantly in October since September, and these month old stats aren’t that helpful in showing that. The inventory is up in all categories, but detached homes are still getting bidding wars in certain hyper local markets and neighborhoods, also price points. Condos are not. We can expect higher days on market for condos for sure. I’m focusing on not just Arlington County, but surrounding areas like Fairfax County, Alexandria City and Falls Church City. I also broke down each of these areas further into 3 sub categories – detached, townhomes and condos properties.
