Welcome to second spring in Northern Virginia! At least that’s what this real estate market feels like lately especially Arlington County. I’ve listed and/or sold a total of 8 houses in the past month. Normally, people are out of town so they delay listing until September and typically buyer activity is tepid. Not this year! I think due to the giant April/May pause, we are making up for lost time. This combined with interest rates in the 2’s is making this end of summer feel more like the busiest spring ever!
This month I took a good look at the market statistics from August 2020 compared to August 2019. There’s little resemblance and they just can’t be compared so moving forward these last few months of 2020 I’m comparing month to month.
