In August, my Arlington 1BD/1BA condo listing sold at asking price {$182,000}! This was the little condo that could, but not before bringing it out of its 80s formica, almond color shell. Two years ago, we tried selling this condo without any success. The seller came back to me this year wanting to give it another go. Most condo buyers seek a more relaxed and turn key lifestyle – no muss, no fuss. When we listed two years ago, it was clear the kitchen and flooring were barriers to selling. So this time around I convinced my seller to renovate them. I can’t sugarcoat, it wasn’t easy. Dealing with a high rise condo and some old building challenges, made it a long and complex process. Although it was a challenge to complete, it is a true learning lesson for all sellers. Home improvements in any property price range will improve your selling results!
And how did the seller feel?
“Coral came highly recommended by a close and trusted friend, who Is a buyer’s agent, when I was ready to sell a rental property. I have grown to know her well, and to appreciate that she is not only an agent, but an advocate in the truest sense of the word. She cares about her client beyond the sale or purchase of a property. She supported me along every step of the way and went well above and beyond the call of duty. Beyond the qualities rated above, she is also kind, patient, insightful, and honest. My property is now sold, and I know that in Coral, I have a lifelong friend and someone I can turn to and recommend to others.”
