We’ve rolled right into summer without even a slight pause between seasons. Below you’ll find highlights from Arlington County, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, and Alexandria City for the month of May.
*Data provided by Bright MLS as of June 4, 2021
Arlington County
In Arlington County, closed sale numbers in all property types continue to grow. Detached closed sales jumped to nearly 80% in May! Proving more buyers are confident and finding the right homes for them even with thin inventory. Condo supply is more plentiful compared to detached inventory in this region, which will likely continue through the next few months.
Fairfax County
In Fairfax County, the May median sold price in all properties continues to bump up – detached properties prices rose 20% over a year ago. Closed sales were incredibly strong compared to a year ago – detached rose nearly 75% over a year ago.
Falls Church City
Falls Church City continues to have huge appeal for buyers yet little to zero inventory {looking at that townhome stat}. Condo supply was up in May so if you’re looking for a smaller place this might be the season to get into FCC!
Alexandria City
Detached and townhouse inventory has stayed under a month in supply – making the roomier properties a bit scarce. Condo living might be an easier real estate route into this part of town.
